Dune icons--Post 3

Differences from the book notwithstanding, I have loved this movie since childhood and it alone is what first enthralled me with the planet Arrakis and Paul Atreides. Anybody who has anything negative to say about it may do so at your own risk.

I made over 1000. Will be posting about 400. Anyone who wants the full set, please comment. I will upload a zip. Patrick Stewart is in this, too, for TNG fans.

I love Number 18 in particular, of course. :D I took it ... and if you happen to have more Gurney Halleck icons... I'd love to have them as well! ^_^' I will give proper credit if I use a Gurney icon, of course. :)

Thanks. I know there's some more Gurney in the other posts; not sure how many left that I didn't actually post of him. I had a feeling someone might want him so I tried to post as many as I had. Most of what I didn't post are like Irulan and the Baron or variations of Paul, Jessica, and Rev. Mother Mohaim that I figured were already well represented.

Yeah, I've collected all the awesome Gurney icons, thank you so much for posting all of them! ^_^ It's rare to find icons of Stewart in other movies/TV shows... most people only make TNG or X Men icons. @.@ (not that I mind, but I'm a fan of Mr. Stewart and not just Picard or Xavier @.@)

Dune was made a year after I was born... *giggle* but then, not everyone is as obsessed as I am when it comes to Mr. Stewart's work. :D I'm just glad I finally found sooo many great Gurney Halleck icons! :D
I'm looking forward to seeing your X Men icons, too! :)

Heh. It was made when I was oh...seven? So not much difference there. I'm just a geek. I'll hunt through the folders and see if I can find some more Gurney.

lol. I actually like both films, but I'm glad there are at least a few out there who remember and appreciate this movie.

I caught the 1984 version on scifi wayyyy late one night many years ago, and fell in love with it instantly. I read the book and it became one of my all-time fave novels. I could re-read it every few months :)

I looked forward to the miniseries so much but was let down totally. They took liberties just like the film did but I wasn't able to live with them.

To this day I still have a crush on Kyle MacLachlan ♥

I saw the 84 movie at a friend's when I was 8 and I actually fell in love with Dune because of it. I actually do re-read the books once a year. It's sort of my kick-off-off-the-summer geek tradition. Herbert's work has been a major influence on me especially in terms of my writing, and I don't think I would have been so enamored with it if this film hadn't captured my imagination so profoundly as a kid.
